What is Reiki
Mikao Usui, the founder and original teacher, defined Reiki as a spiritual healing practice and system for cultivating life energy, awareness, and balance.
The word itself comes from Japanese:
Rei (霊) = universal, spiritual wisdom, higher consciousness, or sacred essence
Ki (気) = life force energy
In Reiki practice, practitioners channel energy through the hands to support:
relaxation
energetic balance
emotional release
stress reduction
spiritual connection
the body’s natural healing processes
What does that mean…
Reiki is the life force energy that animates all living things. When we are born, our energy field is perfect and undisturbed. As we travel through life, our energy field is always picking up and putting down energies. Sometimes it becomes over saturated or depleted. We may start feeling disconnected or foggy. Receiving reiki is a way to replenish your energy field. Reiki energy restores energy to the body, and when the body restores, it improves all systems within. A practitioner does not produce reiki, nor does it come from their own field. Reiki is channeled through the practitioner to the client. Click the link below, to find out more about Reiki!!!

My Reiki Perspective
Reiki is something I hold in a deeply sacred place. My work is rooted not only in training and lineage, but in daily embodiment, spiritual discipline, grounded presence, and deep respect for the intelligence of the human body and spirit.
I am a Reiki Master who continues to study under my own Reiki Master, honoring the lifelong path of learning and spiritual growth that Reiki invites us into. I am a 7th-generation practitioner, meaning there are only six teachers between Master Mikao Usui and myself. I carry that lineage with deep respect, humility, and gratitude.
It is an honor and privilege to support others in facilitating their own healing. I do not view myself as THE healer, but as a person who heals themself, I am a channel for Divine Source energy. All credit belongs to our Creator. My role is to hold safe, grounded, and intentional space for the energy to move where it is needed most.
I believe our culture has conditioned many of us (including myself) to override the wisdom, needs, and signals of our own bodies. In my experience, the body carries profound intelligence. When given safety, presence, and energetic support, it often knows how to move toward balance naturally. Reiki is an intelligent life force that knows what we need, how much we need and our soul is the keeper. It’s always safe and never about force or control, but about creating the conditions where the nervous system can settle and restoration can occur.
My intention is to create a space where people feel safe, seen, grounded, and supported as they reconnect with themselves — physically, emotionally, spiritually, and energetically.
